"Warm and Fuzzy, fluffy like cotton・・・Pension Cottontail""The beautiful seasons and glorious natural scenery heals our hearts" It is a cherry blossom season in spring in Japan. "Fujizakura", a kind of cherry blossom is seen just around here, and very cute. A petal is small, color is delicate pink. OHANAMI season is from the end of April to the beginning of May in this area. In summer, there are full of colorful many flowers in the Cottontail's garden. In fall season, you can see the color leaves and the Japanese pampas grass. And winter, Lots of stars in the night sky. You can see the different face of Mt.Fuji by every season. Please having a good time, and good holiday. "What do you do anything in Yamanakako area?" What do you think of any plan with your family, with your friends, or alone? Playing tennis, Pottery, Many kind of glassworks, many hiking course around Yamanaka Lake, Mt.Fuji climbing, several amusement parks, and the Gotemba Outlet shop. It takes 20 minutes by car to the Fuji-Speedway from here. It bases here, you can go by car to the Fuji Five lakes, Hakone area, Kamakura and Shonan area, and Izu area. In the neighboring the Cottontail, it takes 2 minutes by walk to the Horseback riding club "Clover Ranch". Also there is a unique Japanese culture something a picture books house "E-HO-N-House”. In a house are many picture books, you can read quietly by yourself.  But also the owner has a unique voice, and is quite good at reading a book. If you're lucky, you may be able to have her read a book.
There is the "KI-RA-RA Sports Park" beside of the lake with concourse and the playground equipment. It takes about 5minutes by car, and about 20minutes by walk. If you want to go around the Yamanaka-lake by bike, it takes about 1hour and a half, we’ll take you to the rental bike shop. You have to pay a price of it.
There is a playing corner in the Cottontail with LEGO, blocks, toys, a soccer game, shogi and many games.Please have a wonderful time calmly!! "A meal for a healthy body and beautiful spirit!" We are preparing supper and breakfast with our warm hearts in the dining room. We value seasonal and organic ingredients. The organic rice is from the "Farmer's Ono" in Oita. Our many kinds of bread are without artificial additives. The water, is from the deep sea, desalinated and purified on the Big Island in Hawaii. You’ll see home-made yoghurt and jam on the table at breakfast. We will honor your requests about food as completely as possible- vegetarianism, food allergies and children’s special food. There are many kinds of “spirits”- Yamanashi wine, Japanese Sake, beer and many kinds of soft drinks for sale. Please order them when you have supper, and after supper till 11:00p.m. "Japanese style bath." To warm the body is not only for relieving tiredness but also it’s a good for your mind and body. The Japanese bathtub offers a good system to warm the body deeply. 
There are 2 types of rooms with a Japanese bathtub for privacy at Pension Cottontail. One room is a big room and a big bathtub, the other room is a small room and a small bathtub with a Jacuzzi. Both of them have Japanese-style baths which have a washing space for washing the body, and a bathtub to soak the body in hot water. As the bathtub is only for soaking please don’t take a towel or washcloth in with you, don’t wash your body there and don’t drain the bath after using it. Another person will use it for soaking after you. The Japanese baths and showers are available from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

They like to take turns having all the females bathe together, then all the males, so Foreigners usually like to bathe alone. So if a couple wants to bathe together or women with each other or men with each other or a family together, you may. But of course may also bathe or shower alone. So, please take a bath whenever it is free and turn the signboard to read “IN“, meaning someone is IN the bath. It is occupied. When you leave, please turn the signboard to “OUT”, meaning it is vacant. If you would like to eat supper with us, please order it by 9:00a.m on the morning of the day you would like it.
